The 60-second inspection model

Draft → Scheduled → Inspecting → Complete

Status lifecycle

Users with inspection write access can choose the next status or another available status. Returning to an earlier status reopens that phase; use it deliberately because the displayed lifecycle no longer represents the original sequence by itself.

Permissions and visibility

Draft access and general view access are separate. A user may be able to view active inspections without seeing drafts.

Understand the inspection lifecycle

Use the overall status to show whether you are preparing the checklist, scheduling it, recording field results, or preserving the completed record.

Choose the starting method that gives you the structure you need without bringing stale evidence into a new inspection.

Schedule and start an inspection

Move the record into field work after the checklist, date, and responsible inspector are ready.

Record item results, observations, and attachments

Record a result for each item and keep the evidence beside the check it supports.

Complete, reopen, or correct an inspection

Complete the record after you have checked the entire list and decided how each failure will be handled.

Export an inspection PDF

Generate a portable record when you need to share or retain the inspection overview, checklist, evidence, and results.

Delete inspection content

Delete only the item or section you no longer need when possible. Delete the whole inspection only when the entire record should leave active use.
