Plan a Closeout package

Start with the contract requirements so you know what the handoff must contain before you select sections.

Best for: Project managers and closeout administrators · Outcome: A package scope that is complete without exposing unrelated records.

1. Review the contract's turnover requirements.
2. List the required management, field, and financial records.
3. Identify records that must be finalized before export.
4. Confirm who will generate, review, and deliver the package.
5. Decide whether one comprehensive ZIP or several scoped packages are easier for the recipient.

You can regenerate Closeout packages. If source records are still being completed, create a review package first and save the final generation for the handoff.
