Statuses, stages, and ball-in-court
Approvers can choose Reviewed, No Exceptions Noted, Approved As Noted, Revise And Resubmit, Rejected, or Submitted. An individual response does not directly determine the submittal's status. Once the stage meets its approval condition, ball-in-court advances to the next stage.
- Draft: You can prepare the submittal before it receives an active number.
- Open: The approval workflow is active, and the submittal has a number.
- Done: The review is complete, or the submittal has been moved to completion.
- Cancelled: The submittal has been deleted and no longer appears with active work.

When there is no current stage, the manager has ball-in-court. During review, the approvers in the current stage are responsible for the next action and appear as ball-in-court users.
