Project TeamDesktop WebVerified July 24, 2026

MFA adds a six-digit code from your authenticator app to your normal password sign-in.

Best for: Every user who wants stronger protection against a stolen password · Requires: An authenticator app.

To enable MFA:

  1. Open My Account.
  2. Under Multi-factor authentication (MFA), select Setup MFA.
  3. Scan the QR code into an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator. A text secret is also shown.
  4. Enter the six-digit code generated by the app.
  5. Select Activate MFA.

You will need the authenticator app each time you sign in while MFA is enabled.

To turn it off, return to Multi-factor authentication (MFA) and select Deactivate MFA. This reduces sign-in protection, so use it only when necessary.
