MFA adds a six-digit code from your authenticator app to your normal password sign-in.
Best for: Every user who wants stronger protection against a stolen password · Requires: An authenticator app.
To enable MFA:
- Open My Account.
- Under Multi-factor authentication (MFA), select Setup MFA.
- Scan the QR code into an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator. A text secret is also shown.
- Enter the six-digit code generated by the app.
- Select Activate MFA.
You will need the authenticator app each time you sign in while MFA is enabled.
To turn it off, return to Multi-factor authentication (MFA) and select Deactivate MFA. This reduces sign-in protection, so use it only when necessary.
