Chat
Adding attachments, stopping responses, and retrying
Add attachments when Chat needs context from a file alongside your project question.
Add attachments when Chat needs context from a file alongside your project question.
Best for: Questions about a file alongside project context.
- Open Chat and use the attachment control, drag files onto the prompt on supported web layouts, or choose files through the device picker.
- Wait for attachments to finish uploading.
- Add a clear question explaining what to inspect.
- Submit.
Chat can also inspect supported attachments already stored on an accessible Constructable record. Identify the record and file clearly. Organization, project, and record permissions still apply; Chat cannot use an attachment to bypass access.
You can stop a response while it is streaming. Stopping does not guarantee a complete answer; submit a new message when you want to continue.
If a file cannot be used, remove it and retry with a supported, readable version. Never assume an attachment was fully interpreted merely because it uploaded successfully; ask for specific evidence and verify the file yourself.
