Use Chat when later questions need to build on the context from earlier messages.

Best for: Iterative project analysis · Requires: AI Chats permission.

  1. Open Chat, or on desktop select the agent button in a page header to open the side panel without leaving your current work.
  2. Enter a request in Ask Constructable..., or choose a suggested prompt on supported desktop layouts.
  3. Submit and watch the response stream.
  4. Enter a follow-up question in the same Chat.
  5. Select New Chat when the subject changes enough that prior context is no longer useful.

The empty-state examples include overdue RFIs, Daily Log summaries, insurance, Submittals, and pending change orders. These are prompt examples, not a guarantee that every workspace has every workflow or that every user can access it.

The project Dashboard may create the first message in a Chat-style session. After it completes, choose Open in Chat to continue.

Messages sent from the desktop side panel include the current page title and address as context. This can help Chat understand what you are viewing, but it does not automatically attach or read the record. Name the record and requested outcome clearly.
