Import, review, and publish a spec book

Import your PDF, review the structure Constructable found, and publish only after you are confident the section boundaries are correct.

Best for: Specification managers · Requires: Specs management access.

1. Open Specs and select Manage Spec Books.
2. Select Import Spec Book.
3. Add one or more source files and select Upload.
4. Open the imported book marked for review.
5. Check division names, section numbers and titles, and the first page assigned to each section.
6. Add, rename, reorder, or delete divisions and sections as needed.
7. Select Publish Spec Book.

Publishing changes what people can see; it does not change the source PDF. After you publish, open the normal Specs page and spot-check several sections so you know the right pages appear.
