Set up folders around how your team actually looks for files, then choose who can access them before you start adding project records.

Best for: Project administrators and document managers · Requires: Documents management access.

Create folders manually

  1. Open Documents.
  2. Select ActionsAdd Folder.
  3. Name the folder for the work it contains.
  4. Open the folder and add its child folders.
  5. Select Edit Shared With and choose the intended audience.

Choose names that will still make sense later, such as Contracts, Site Reports, and Turnover, rather than temporary personal labels.

Import an existing structure

  1. From the Documents root, select ActionsImport Folder Structure.
  2. Choose another project.
  3. Select Import.

Constructable copies every folder and its permission level, but no files come with it. If a folder has the same name as one in your project, the two structures are merged. Review the result before you upload current content.
