Archive a finished collection when you want to keep its record available. Delete only when the list or item should no longer remain in active use.
Best for: Quality managers · Requires: Quality Item write access.
- Archive List removes the list from the open group and prevents normal new-item work while retaining it under Archived.
- Unarchive List returns it to active use.
- Delete List removes the list from normal use.
- Delete Item removes one Quality Item.
Archive is the preferred end of the list lifecycle because you keep the record available. Before deleting an item, review its comments, attachments, drawing pins, and dependent items. If it has dependencies, resolve or move them first so you do not break the work sequence.
