Troubleshooting preconstruction

Bid Management or Takeoffs is missing

1. Confirm that you are in the intended project.
2. Confirm that the organization's Project Management package is enabled.
3. Ask a project administrator to check the specific Bids or Takeoffs permission.
4. For Bidder Portal, confirm that your company is on at least one bid list for the project.

A company is missing from Select Bidders

Confirm that the company exists in the organization directory, is an eligible subcontractor-type company, and is not already on this package's bid list. Check its bidding contacts, trades, and tags in the directory before adding duplicate records.

The invitation cannot be sent

Select at least one bidder in Distribution. Confirm the bidder has a valid bidding contact and that the package contains the information recipients need. If a message was attempted, inspect delivery history and verify the contact address before resending.

A bidder cannot change a response

Check whether the package is closed. A closed package remains viewable, but bidders cannot submit or modify a bid. Reopening restores access for eligible bidder contacts unless another access or permission issue exists.

A submitted bid is not under Received Bids

Confirm that the bidder completed Submit Bid, not only Will Bid. Will Bid records intent; Received means the amount, notes, and attachments were submitted.

A Takeoff Set will not open

Make sure the project has at least one drawing page and a published sheet you can use. Confirm your drawing access and Takeoffs write permission. See Where is my drawing?.

A Takeoff total looks wrong

Confirm the active item, unit, multiplier, sheet revision, and scale. Counts do not use scale; linear and area measurements do. If the geometry is wrong, review Measuring and calibrating drawings.
