Creating, sharing, and archiving Topics
Use a Topic to keep related drawing markup and coordination together under a clear title.
Use a Topic to keep related drawing markup and coordination together under a clear title.
Best for: Design review and drawing coordination · Requires: Topics write permission; sharing changes require Topics share permission.
- Open Management Tools → Topics.
- Select New Topic.
- Enter a specific title and create it.
- Open Edit Shared With and choose the intended audience.
- Add sheets and markup from the drawing viewer as needed.
New Topics begin with the creator as a member. Sharing can include selected people, the organization, or Anyone on Project Team, depending on your access and the Topic's locked sharing state.
Share a Topic with the smallest audience that can complete the work. People still need access to any connected RFI, Submittal, or other record.
Use Archive Topic when the coordination is complete or inactive. Archived Topics remain in the Archived Topics section and can be unarchived. Archiving preserves history; it is not the same as deleting comments.
