Understanding mentions, involvement, and subscriptions
Whether you receive an alert depends on how the event involves you and the subscription level you chose.

Whether you receive an alert depends on how the event involves you and the subscription level you chose.
Best for: Everyone receiving project updates · Outcome: Understand why an alert did or did not appear.
The available levels are:
- All Activity: Create in-app notifications for accessible activity in that channel or record.
- Only my Mentions/Ball-in-Courts/Assignments: Notify when the event directly involves you.
- Do not notify me: Suppress notifications from that setting, including mentions.
When no setting exists, the effective default is mention-level notification. Notification processing also checks whether the recipient can access the event's entity. A subscription never grants access.
Being involved in a Thread can make it appear in the Threads inbox even when a delivery channel is quiet. Inbox visibility and delivery are related but not identical.
