  • View comments and Add new comments, edit existing comments control comments. These are available by default to administrators, managers, employees, subcontractors, consultants, and owners.
  • View topics, Create and change topics, Change sharing settings, and Create private topics are separate abilities. Topic read, write, and share access may be limited to topics shared with the user.
  • Administrators and managers can access all Topics by default. Other standard roles normally access only Topics shared with them.
  • View and post on the internal project discussion board is enabled by default for administrators, managers, and employees.
  • Topics and Reports-style collaboration tools are part of the Field capability in navigation. Connected records such as RFIs and Submittals may require the Project Management package and their own permissions.
  • Threads and notification settings have web and native layouts. Screen recording for drawing comments is a supported desktop-browser workflow; viewing accessible recordings is broader. For drawing-specific platform behavior, see Using pins, comments, and screen recordings.
  • Permission grants access. Topic sharing determines audience within that access. Status shows whether work is active, archived, open, or resolved. Notification settings determine alerts. These controls are independent.
