Building, importing, locking, and unlocking an SOV
The SOV divides a contract into the lines used for changes and progress billing.

You can add SOV lines manually or import a supported CSV from desktop web. For each line, confirm:
- Description
- Cost or revenue code
- Cost type where required
- Subproject where enabled
- Amount
- Retention
- Billing type on applicable Prime lines
Lock the SOV after the contract structure is approved. Unlocking requires elevated permission and is best reserved for correcting the SOV itself, not for routine changes after approval.
CSV import is not shown in the native app. Use desktop web for initial SOV setup and large edits.
In the recurring example, the concrete SOV separates foundations, slabs, and walls so the added-foundations CO and monthly invoices can affect the right line.
