Creating commitments from awarded bids

Awarded bid information can provide the starting point for one or more Commitments, reducing duplicate entry as work moves from bidding into contract administration.

Best for: Preconstruction and project teams handing work into execution · Requires: Bid and Commitment access.

From the bid workflow:

1. Select the awarded companies or bids.
2. Choose Create Commitments.
3. Review the companies, titles, and amounts.
4. Create the records.
5. Open each Commitment and complete its SOV and contract details before using it for changes or billing.

Constructable skips companies that already have a Commitment for the project. Review the warning and the existing Commitment before creating another contract for the same scope.

Creating a Commitment from a bid does not finish contract administration. Confirm scope, coding, retention, signers, and supporting documents before execution.
