Billing Periods set the date range and due date for each invoice cycle, helping everyone bill against the same window.

Best for: Financial administrators · Requires: Billing Period or financial-management access.

To add a period:

  1. Open Invoices.
  2. Select Billing Periods.
  3. Select Add Billing Period.
  4. Enter the start date, end date, and due date.
  5. Save the period so it is available when invoices are created.

Billing Period ranges cannot overlap. The organization setting Billing Period Due Date Day can help establish consistent due dates.

Constructable treats the period containing today's date as current. Other periods behave as closed for invoice creation unless the user has permission to create an invoice for a closed Billing Period. A Billing Period organizes invoicing in Constructable; it is not the same as an accounting period in QuickBooks or Sage.
